about a nice skill
Blessed light -divine favor- Elite Spell. Heal target ally for 10...94 Health and remove one Condition and one Hex.
This spell benefit from the divine favor bonus? so if i have 13 divine favor the healing ill be 94 + 3,2 x 13 = 135 ? This skill is the best in the game (low recharge - 2!), cuz u need only one monk for a party of 8 (2 monks is a waste, cuz they ill heal same target usually) and with this skill u save space in all heroes bar, no need other condition or hexes removal (cuz again 2 heroes ill cast on same target the removal skill). Sure the monk should be helped for healing by ritualist spirits, paragon chants or "watch your self" from warriors, but not by other monk, cuz is a waste of enerty on same target usually. Damn im so smart Last edited by xromania???; Sep 13, 2007 at 10:54 AM // 10:54.. |

But my question about the bonus?
I guess a prot monk have for sure Aegis, that isnt so good cuz long recharge and is only 10-12 sec, and this probably protect only against melee atacks. But i dont know other protection prayers skills for all party, so the rest are useless cuz the hero ill cast on same target with the other monk hero. But spirits, chants, wells, wands or watch your self are better than Aegis |

BL is ok but not the best, 10 ng to cast is a bit much and the heroes will spam it to remove hex and Condition. Most people prefer to use LOD (Light of Deliverance) depend on the team line up, sometime I use Healing Light.
When you have 2 monks in it best that 1 of them go prot and the other heal. And just because one is a prot monk, doesn't mean he must use Aegis. It's mostly the paragon job to buff the defence for all of the party memebers, earth warder can do that as well. |

Yes, it benefits from the divine favor bonus. HOWEVER, note that it costs 10 energy to use. I used to run this skill, and let me tell you, you'll run out of energy fast if you need to keep using this.

ya i know about energy, but with secondary mesmer for example (gain energy), or with no other skills on the bar (only some smite atack signets) ill be ok, cuz anyway the other suppor hero ill be close with the spirits, chants bla bla.
I still dont like the idea with other prot monk, cuz except aegis, he ill target same target like the first monk (tested) I have a question, the spirits who didnt atack (not like Pain, for example), ill aggro foes? cuz the rit hero cast them fast and spirits are behind and can aggro. But foes atack spirits who didnt atack? hm ill test that if nobody know Last edited by xromania???; Sep 13, 2007 at 11:12 AM // 11:12.. |

So on you hybrid monk you have, mesmer ng return, smite attack and healing skills on the bar? Well if it work for you, that's great. And yeah if the enermies spot your spirit, they'll attack it.

Protection is really the monk's most powerful attribute line, in my opinion. The ability to reduce or negate incoming damage is far superior to the ability to patch up the wounded, especially in higher level areas where the monsters pack a very powerful punch and can do far more damage to you than straight healing can restore. Quote:
The spirits that don't attack (Shelter, Union, Displacement and all the rest) tend to have very large areas of effect, so they can be summoned in places of relative safety once combat starts and the monsters have already chosen their targets. |

heh many opinions..
my question was if a non-atack spirit can aggro, foes atack it if my party is far away from this spirit? Last edited by xromania???; Sep 13, 2007 at 01:40 PM // 13:40.. |

As for Blessed Light being the best, well thats debatable. At 10 energy and a 3(not 2) second recharge, it leaves much to be desired. I really dont see how a single monk, using BL as its primary heal, in a party of 8 can maintain their party for very long. |
