Some general Questions...
I have all these fragments of things, like bones, and carapaces and slabs of stone, it says they're good for crafting items, but i've never met anyone who even had most of those things available for use. Much less the merchant that sells "Rare" mix items.
Second, how does one go about taming a bear? It keeps canceling my taming ability. It's rather frusterating. Thirdly, i see little tiny creatures walking around town, what are they? It's like baby dragons and baby birds and things. Also, do you get opportunities to make better armor at any point? All I have is the armor value 50 charr armor. |

1) No, Not very good at all.. Merch em
2) Bears in Pre-Searing have a skill called charm breaker or something, it's rather hard to charm one in pre-sear, but it is possible.. Better to wait till later, but if you really want one.. : http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bear 3) Minipets, people own them, they are trabeable and whatnot... you can buy them later in the game if you want or wait until your first birthday... 4) Yep, but you have to play through the game more... |

Bones and granite slabs are "common crafting materials", with it you can craft armor and weapons.
The bear in pre-searing ascalon has an ability that allows any non-pet animal to break a charm attempt. As for the little creature in town, those are mini-pets, you can get them if it's your character birthday, by completing certain dungeon or you can buy them from people. Minipets can't fight. |

Hi!
You'll find all the answers in the GW wiki: 1) Use the search function of GW wiki to look for the collector of the "things" you'd like to trade for 2) http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Tameable 3) they're called mini pet, or miniatures: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mini_pet you'll get better armors (the max Armor Level, or AL, will depend on your profession): http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Armor |

haha, that would be a great idea for a new PvP island.. minipet battles.
Wow, all my topics today seem to start off the original topic before I have to think up somethign to post on topic. lol Just put all the crafting materials, rare or common, into the last tab of your storage untill you get 250 of them, after that sell them to a merchant so that you can put the money into your storage instead (save up for later when you will need money and materials for better armor/runes/insignias or just want to buy some minipet you want to have) |

Before selling crafting materials to the merchant, look for people buying them to craft armor.
Any town where you can purchase armor usually has players looking for materials and willing to pay more than the merchant.

Also, the material trader will generally offer you more than the regular merchant for crafting materials. This is especially true for Granite these days, since lots of people are buying it for the Destroyer weps.

The crafting materials will be useful to craft armor after you leave pre-searing to continue through the game. Once you leave the newbie area you will have access to a storage that will cost you 50 gold to open the first time and a material storage that will cost the same. Storage and material storage are account wide and will hold up to 250 of each crafting material so if you hold on to your crafting materials until you get to post-searing you will have a use for them right away.
All of your other questions were answered but it appears that you are still in pre-sear and you will not find storage there so some of the answers about storage could be confusing. Oh, and since you are a newbie...don't sell your dye to the merchant! When you get to post-searing there will be a dye trader that will pay you much more. Black dye is worth around 6 k so don't get ripped off |
