how do u get the little pets that follow u around in towns? i heard u have to ahve been playing for 1 year. is that true? or is there another way of getting them?

Some are gifts like you heard, for your characters birthday each year, some are from special magazine offers, and some are prizes from contests. They are tradeable however, so even if you haven't received one on your own, you can buy them from other players.

Those little pets are called mini-pet's. There are multiple ways to get them, here are 3 ways to get them:

1. Every time your character turns a year older, he/she will get a mini as a birthday present (well, for the 1st & 2nd birthday at least)
2. Buy a mini from another player
3. Enter a magazine competition and win a mini that way.

The factions new year "chinese style" event gave a pig last time Happy to give you one for nothing Since I have 3 spare.

Most pets cost under 15k. Only a few rare ones are worth more.

Your welcome and if you come to the canthan "factions" new year Feb 2008 it being the year of the rat then no doubt they will hand those out too.

I am in the Uk and come on in the afternoons and will be in the game on Sunday.
