GW:EN worth it?
I have been a huge fan of Guild Wars since it first came out, I have always preorder each of the three campaigns and played them through and with Night Fall I was so impressed with the fight of Abbadon and when they added hard mode. I stoped playing GW around when they had just introduced daily tournaments for the Hero Battles. I got a little bored with that because they seemed to be focusing around that and I understand why, it just didn't interest me to much. I tryed out WoW and all I can say is that it was the worst MMO I have ever played, I couldn't stand just farming all the time. So I got back in to GW and finished up what I had left to do on hard mode with my Dervish and now all that is left for me in SF, UW, and FoW, but I have ran those so many times and I need something new. I started to read into EN and I liked the idea of a hero wall, but I was just seeing if EN lived up to the other additions, I know it is just an expansion so it wont be as long, I just didn't know if it was worth buying or if I should just wait till GW2 and stick with Halo 3?

The Hall of Monuments collections will provide a GW2 player with benefits in that game (currently unspecified). ANet has stated that once GW2 is released a player will not be able to purchase EOTN and fill up his HoM.
Personally, I am enjoying the new expansion. This week's update add Hard Mode.

Anyway, I'm still holding out for the price to drop a bit and for my schedule to clear up so I'll have more time to play it. To each his own. |

Is GWEN worth it? hmm...I played the first segment of the game and it SUCKS!
This is what I hate about it: -The quests take 5 hours each -Half the quests don't have a starburst -I have to travel through 10 zones to do a quest -I have 3 primary quests and dont know can do -The monsters suck and you cannot possibly die |

its not like FFXI is it?
wait so did they basically turn GW into FFXI where you have to wait for a party and then do one quest forever, are all of the duengeons like SF where they kind of seem a little impossible at first but still take a very long time to get to the end?

If you have to travel through 10 zones to do a quest, then you are going the wrong way. Quote:

He's talking about the primary quest to rally the troops of three races, which is basically 90% of the game. So yes. 5 hours is a fair judgement.

eh, well - its not really fair to say those quests take 5 hours. The three primary "umbrella" quests each have 3-4 sub-quests. The sub-quests can be done separately, its not like you need to sit down and spend 5 hours on the entire thing (think of it like the "to sorrows furnace" quest)
Having 3 primary quests. yes, but is that a bad thing? It just means you can befriend each race (norn/asura/vanguard) in whatever order you want. I'm not sure how giving people the freedom like that is bad. If you want an order, fine - here - do norn, then vanguard, then asura As far as the game being worth it, I guess it depends on how you look at your cash to entertainment value. Personally, I can spend 40 bucks at the bar for 1 night of entertainment. While a lot of people have smoked through EOTN in one night, there is certainly a lot of side quests and new toys to grab. |

I love the expansion. It is now priced where it should have been when it was originally released.
Just remember that GW is trying to be everything to everybody. Play the parts you like, Dungeons, vs NPC combat, polymock, point and title grinding, new skills, etc. Last edited by pkodyssey; Oct 16, 2007 at 06:36 PM // 18:36.. |

O.K 1 quest does not take 5 hours or 10 different zones,
its 5 primary quest in1 primary quest, and in my opinion its totally worth it, the great destroyer is a nice boss, the enemy's are a little harder but if ur experienced u wont really notice much, 1 thing that sucks is the green weapon drops(but i use heros and henchies only), and with Hard Mode now available the game just getting interesting, oh and the Norn Tournament is wicked you'll enjoy that, the heros are really cool in my opinion. and im not easily entertained, i hate Night Falls(going back and forwards constantly), but Factions and Tyria were cool(tyria still my favourite) but is it worth it, HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! qoute-"I have 3 primary quests and dont know can do" easy pick the norn primary quest, asuran primary quest or Vanguard primary quest and follow from there. The primary quest the great destroyer doesnt continue until u do the primary quest needed, all of wich are shown in brackets in the 'Quest Log' list under "Against The Great Destroyer" some require other certain Norn/Asuran?vanguard PRIMARY quest done before u can obtain the quest specified in the brackets shown in the 'Quest Log' list under "Against The Great Destroyer" |
