Okay I'm new as well but I can play the game and this is what I've seen so far:

PVE character start at level 1 at the beginning of the game. They have no skills whatsoever and you play through the storyline. They get skills as they go and they can unlock items or skills for your PVP characters at times. For example if you find a rare magical sword, and you identify it, this sword will also be available to your PVP characters. If you unlock a new skill, it will also be available to your PVP characters. etc.

PVP characters cannot play the storyline missions (as far as I know!) but they start at level 20. They can change their secondary profession at will. They start out in some sort of PVP training area but you can quickly pass this to go to the real PVP. They start at level 20 and they also get quite some skills to play with, however lots of skills will only be available until you have unlocked them in the PVE campaign. Also, all the armor, weapons, and item upgrades that you find with your PVE characters are available to your PVP chracters plus of course lots of "basic" stuff which is available right from the start.

This is all I know about it, I hope it's helpful for you.

PvP character: Can ONLY play on the Battle Isles (where all the PvP is). Is allowed to create equipment at will.

PvE character: You must work for everything for this character. Can play both PvE and PvP.

Thanx for taking the reply. It helps, but I still don't quite get it, what im really asking, if you can say, if i make a pve char to do quests and missions and all, can i later some how enter a battle grounds pvp area with that same char? Or do ya just make a completly new char seperate from your pve one, so that you can pvp. If you cant help then thats ok, ty for replying ^^

PVP characters can now also access Fort Aspenwood and the Jade Quarry in Factions.

Keep in mind that PvE characters will still have access to some arenas before they hit level 20. There is an arena for under level 10 (in Ascalon, after the newbie area), and I believe an under 15s arena in Yak's Bend.

All the skills and items upgrades and armour runes that your PvE characters learn/identify can be used by your PvP characters, but not vice-versa (with, I believe, the exception of skills/skill tomes). PvP characters can also grab any shiny weapons you've got in storage, I believe (otherwise they are limited to only a few 'pvp' weapon skins and stock standard armour types). Just remember to put the weapons back before deleting the character.
