expansions and a lot of questions o.o
Hi guys,
I have a GW: P and i've just acquired GW: NF but when i install the NF i would like to play there with my old character, but when i logged in my character its still on GW: P so here we go: 1) how could i go to the NF with my old character? i read its possible, but i didin't figured out how to do it 2)if i get my GW: P and reach the others continets (night fall for exemple), will i be able to see the people who started to play on nightfall? like if my friend just bought NF to start play, without the GW: P and he started there with his first char, and i started with GW: P and installed the NF pack, will i be able to see him with my old character when i reach the NF continent? or it's totally different servers? 3)if i install nightfall and factions, when i start at NF will i be able to start the factions class on nightfall world? like a world with ALL classes Last edited by lebasp; Nov 02, 2007 at 02:09 AM // 02:09.. |

First of all, when you buy another chapter, you're just paying for the content. There is no reason to reinstall the game on your computer. All the files are there already. If you haven't already added the key to your account, here's how. Start up Guild Wars and click on the link that says Add an access key/Create new account. Be sure to select "Add an access key"! Type in your account info in the window that appears and enter the access key you got when you bought the game. After confirming it, you will be able to go to Nightfall with your characters and make new Nightfall characters.
That being said... 1) You will need to talk to Lionguard Figo in Lion's Arch to get the quest to get over to Nightfall. It will require you to fight some higher level monsters (18-22 I believe), so find a group doing that quest and tag along. 2) Yes, you will be able to see anybody who started their characters in Nightfall. The servers are the same, just make sure you're in the same district. 3) No, the classes introduced in Factions and Nightfall are exclusive to those continents. Meaning you cannot make a Dervish starting in Factions or a Ritualist starting in Nightfall. But those classes can still travel to other continents and play them like everyone else. |

Make sure that you added your NF access key to your original account, as opposed to starting a new one.
You do not actually have to install the additional games, you just need to add the access keys. |

If you installed it separately and put in the key already, you can't add it to your other game and play your characters on the other side.

In Prophecies, you have to get to Lion's Arch, and from there you get quests to unlock access to Nightfall. More specifically, you gain access to Kamadan, which is the starting city of Nightfall. Once there, you get a few quests that sort of fast-track you to the main part of the Nightfall campaign. You also can get quests to unlock another hero named Olias (the Nightfall quests will give you 4 other heroes; Koss, Melonni, Tahlkora, and Dunkoro).
This is what I did w/ my ranger & necro from prophecies - they're both in Nightfall now. |
