GW2 questions - Guild Wars Forums

I'm new to GW and I'm considering picking up Nightfall (currently playing Prophecies), but am not sure if with GW2 coming up it's still worth it.

I have 2 questions.

- When is GW2 scheduled to be released?
- Will AN still support GW1 and run servers for it?

From what Anet has said, they will still support GW1 when GW2 comes out. And beta for GW2 is supposed to start in 2008 with the game being released sometime in 2009.

gw2 won't come out for a loooooooooooong time, and they will continue to support gw1 until people stop playing.

GW2 is basically going to come out, eventually?
They will continue to support the servers, and have holiday events. But they will probably not be doing anything new till GW2. It would be highly unnecessary because it would be putting a pause on the production of GW2.

Good to hear they'll keep supporting GW1. I've started playing only a few weeks ago and I really like it.

GW2 is years away Lets not care about.
Of course servers will stay up look at the Small MMOS with servers still up.
