Quick Random Question about Conditions
I'm pretty sure I can answer my own question, but I just want to make sure.
Let's say I use Searing Flames on a mob. 7 seconds of burning. What happens if I use immolate right after? It won't add 3 more seconds of burning right? It will reapply the condition for only 3 seconds, so it is lowering the duration of burning. Am I correct? So if this is true, then having an SF ele along with a Paragon with Anthem of Flame and Blazing Finale is wayy overkill and will actually hurt me more in the long run (lower burning = less damage, less damage reduction from They're on Fire)? |

Technically both sources of burning are applied, but they won't stack. The same is with enchants and hexes with 1 modification: the most powerful hex/enchant at the time takes effect. For conditions its really simple since they don't have varying levels of power, you can treat it as the longest duration always taking effect. For hexes or enchants, both are will lose 'duration' in that the timers on both applied hex/enchant will start to run out, but only the strongest takes effect, if the strongest runs out then the next strongest takes effect. Also note that for the purpose of skills such as dwayna's kiss multiple enchantments or hexes wont be counted twice. |
