[skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] <-- Ultimately, this is why Hundred Blades sucks. |

The change to Conjure X removed the fun out of the screen to screen numbers of 100 blades.
Haha. |

axe will give more damage, will attack slower thoe, sword attacks faster, and has a close damage range.

Since "For Great Justice" got buffed so that Dragon Slash now recharges itself, I would go with Swords. Also offers Riposte + Deadly Riposte. Whirlwind attack gives Swords the missed AoE attack that does not eat the elite slot.
Axes still have Dismember for an easy to apply Deep Wound, Triple Chop and Cyclone Axe are pretty good, too. I preferred Axe for a long time, but see above, nowadays it is swords. |

PvE = swords
PvP = axes of course, triple chop is a good axe PvE skill. They're also more capable of casuing deep wound, since some creatures in PvE dont bleed, so Sever + Gash doesnt work. However some PvE skills can be used as well for a DW. In PvP the only usuable sword skill would be cripslash |

Axe is better in PVE because there are too damn many nonfleshy creatures there for swords to be useful (especially in Prophecies)...

Both can be used for PvP and PvE, and they all provide about the same damage, its just how you get that damage that matters. Although i think a lot of people are more prepared for swords. Axes aren't as much used as swords and hammers are the least used war weapon, but its a real surprise to a lot of players when you do play with it.
Overall my personal experience axes are great for new players since they are cheap and can be used to farm for money and greens. When you get enough, get a nice skinned sword. |
