Don't feel bad if your poor for a long time, this game takes time to acquire wealth or a great deal of lucky drops.

Play the game, max out your char with items and weapons that are practical, ie have the mods you want rather than just a cool skin. Later you can amass some wealth to buy or perhaps farm the skins you want to make your char look the way you want it.

Do not buy every skill at first, read them carefully and pick what you are actually going to use. Once youve beaten the game then go back and pick up all the skills you may have skipped over and see if they have some use. Also you will get the chance to change your secondary proffesion and that opens up new skill combos making some skills you never used before actually work.
