What are Heros and/or NPCs? Plz xpln

NPC's are non player computers,
Heroes are customizable allies only available in Nightfall and eye of the north.

An NPC is a non-player character. Examples of NPCs include quest givers, merchants, crafters, henchmen... All the characters in-game who aren't played by people.

As for heroes, I'm sure you're familiar with henchmen already. A hero is just like a henchman, in that you can add them to your party and they will fight alongside you. However, you choose the skills that a hero uses, they weapons they wield, and the bonuses on their gear. This makes them incredibly powerful and versatile, but you are limited to having a maximum of 3 of your heroes with you at any one time.
