No, nobody. We don't even know how the class system will work, or if we'll even have classes.
In short, wait for ANet word. |

Well, I'm pretty sure we're not going to have the exact same roster we have now.
Other than that... wait a year or two. |

The devs have said that all classes will return "in some form or another". Too lazy to look up the exact source, but it's on the GW site. Basically, expect some merges.

i think its going to be more varied and prob. like a WoW style pick. Choose race, class, appearence. Otherwise why would we have HoM weapons...

Merges eh? That'll probably the end of /secondaries then.
I can see Paragons merge in with Warriors, and perhaps Ritualists losing their Channeling strikes and merged with Necromancers. I actually see Elementalists being split up and perhaps part of it merged with Dervish. |

I kinda expected merges in the same style too.
Like Monks merging with Dervs, and Paragons being merged with maybe warriors, or sins. Or even split shouts going to Sins and attacks going to warriors. Rits and Necros have been a merge I've expected since rits where introduced. |

Where would Mesmer fit? I hope that at least some of them stay as is.

Yeah Mesmer and ele fits well. What skills don't fit would likely get take by another class or incorperated into a new one, Like a Druid. Ranger and a hippie.

Warrior + Paragon = Warrior with more variety
Blood Necro + Death Necro + Spirit Rit + Item Rit = Dead Stuff Curse Necro + Mesmer + Hex Ele = Hex Max Weapon Ritualist + Dervish + Earth Ele + Air Ele = Martial Magician Fire Ele + Water Ele = WoW-style Crowd Control Nuker Smite Monk + Warrior = Martial Monk Kung fu-style One of the other threads has a suggestion of removing dedicated healers. Which I think will be a very bold and unique step for a game to take. I'd really like to see how that can be managed without a potion spamming style of play. But I know many people enjoy monking. |

Classes that we are bound to have :
Monk Warrior Elementalist Necro Assasin I highly doubt that mesmers will make an appearance in GW2, same goes for Para's and Rit's. The only flaw i find in A-Net's plan is how are the non core proffesions going to be implemented in GW2? Are Assasins and Rits not unique to Cantha? And Aren't Dervishes and Paragons unique to Elona? |

There is one thing that we can assume though - that warriors, ranger, monks and elementalists will still be around in some form or another. Every RPG contains these basic profession archetypes, and there's no reason to think that GW2 would break from that tradition. |

There are clues that even in GW:EN the regional professions are becoming more universal.
For example, Anton is an Ascalonian Assassin. |

I just hope we keep all the core classes. Those classes, or at least the first we ever played (in my case a mesmer) were what got a lot of us interested in the game to begin with, so it would definitely be a shame to lose them in GW2.
I definitely don't want dedicated healers to go. Monk is my all time favourite profession, and it would definitely be the first class I play in GW2. |

Strange noone has said anything about rangers. My guess would be they will be a set number of classes to start with (like the 6 core ones in GW) and they will introduce others along the way.
Hopefully they might even do away with classes all together and put in a skill point system like Star Wars Galaxies had when it first started. |

Of course they'll keep mesmers in, mesmer are one of the things that makes GW what it is.
