Can you learn sub-class skills with a tome
for example can a assassin learn a mesmer skill with a assassin tome if its subclass is mes?

No, you would need a mesmer tome to learn a mesmer skill.

Yes. If the character is an Assassin/Mesmer, then that character can learn Mesmer skills with a Mesmer tome. This goes for all classes as long as they have the corresponding profession with the tome.

Actually, I am pretty sure you can only use regular tomes that correspond to your primary profession. Elite Tomes work for either though.
Edit: this is wrong...I just checked myself and you can in fact use tomes for your secondary. I guess it would help to have the secondary profession selected before using the tome :P. Dumb mistake on my part. Last edited by Sharkman; Dec 18, 2007 at 03:05 AM // 03:05.. |
