Is there any way to see what weapon unlocks?
I just unlocked an icy dagger tang after playing a sin for a year.
Is there any way to find out what weapon mods I have unlocked? I thought I'd already unlocked that one. |

Check with a Priest of Balthazar to see what you've unlocked.

oh man. anything that's gold doesn't say unlocked?!?
I know i've unlocked tons of these items, but if it's gold, it's saying I don't have it unlocked. crap. so if I pay to unlock these again, will they be usuable in PvE, or PvP only? |

If you pay for the unlocks with the Priest - they are only available in PvP, when you create your weapons I believe.

so what can i do about things that were already unlocked? for instance, my zealous dagger says that it's not unlocked... and that's all I use.

u may have unlocked a sundering mod thats like 19% but since perfect is 20% ud have to still unlock that at priest. other ex: furius 9% (perfect is 10) +29hp(perfect is 30) u get the idea. and buying the mod alrdy id'ed wont unlock it for u. so buying a wep with zealous mod on it doesnt unlock it. iding an item with it on unlocks it. unless they have changed that since i stopped pve'ing

but there's only one kind of zealous mod... either it is or it isn't. and i'd unlocked it before.
so something's screwed up. but you're saying that if i've unlocked a 19% enchant mod, the 20% enchant mod is still locked? or does the 20% act like it's a 19% and if i pay the priest, that's only good in PvP? so convoluted... this is creating more questions than answers |

Okay, just to clear things up:
If you ID an item that has a mod or inscription you haven't already unlocked, it becomes unlocked. For any mod or inscription that has multiple possible values (health, +dmg^50, +dmg^Enchant, xx%/20% sundering, etc.), you only have unlocked the best value you've identified. Example: If you have identified an item with a +14% dmg while enchanted mod, but you have not identified an item with the (perfect) +15% dmg while enchanted mod, you will only have the 14% mod available to you. You must identify the item to unlock the mod - simply buying or using that mod will not unlock it. Also, you can unlock a mod for 1000 faction by talking to a priest of Balthazar. For any mod with multiple possible values, if you have never unlocked it before (any version of it), unlocking the item will give you the lowest possible values for the mod. Once you unlock a mod, assuming you have not unlocked the perfect version in PvE, you can pay an additional 1000 faction to unlock the perfect version of it. Unlocking mods lets you use them when you are creating gear for PvP-only characters. Handy Flowchart: |Unlock Mod in PvE|--> |You unlocked the perfect version of it| --> |Woot!| | └--> |You didn't unlock the perfect version of it| --> |ID more items until you get a perfect one| --> |Woot!| | └--> |Pay 1000 Balth points to unlock the perfect version| --> |Woot!| OR |Pay 1000 Balth Points to unlock the lowest version| --> |Pay 1000 Balth Points to unlock the best version| --> |Woot!| | └--> |ID items until you find a better version| --> |See the first flowchart| Last edited by Fury Incarnate; Dec 19, 2007 at 07:47 PM // 19:47.. |
