What is the Best Campaign
What is the Best Campaign include reasoning about everything-Proffessions, skill, story, graphics, setting and other.
So what I am asking is if you could only choose 1 of the 3 games what would it be(excluding GW:EN) Last edited by Online Gamer; Dec 24, 2007 at 01:34 PM // 13:34.. |

I prefer nightfall over the other two. Might just be me.

General opinion on these boards seems to be either
Nightfall > Prophecies > Factions or Prophecies > Nightfall > Factions. I liked Factions considerably more than Prophecies, personally. Haven't even come close to finishing Nightfall yet, but I'm enjoying it just as much as Factions thus far. |

now that depends. Prophecies has the longest story line (but you can skip around in it), offers skills quests, but only the original core professions. Factions gave us the sin and the ritualist (my favorite class), however, the locked gates and needing faction to continue turned many off---though the quests offered lots of xp and some gold --and imperial commidations, which can be used for things like salvage kits and id kits...so not all bad. Nightfall gave us heroes, more locked gates and a slightly longer story than factions, while also offering us the dervish and the paragon. It also included the kourman coins and the like which can be exchanged for the id kits and salvage kits etc.
For a new player prophecies has the longest learning curve so you can get to know your character and skills etc., nightfall has the best set up with heroes. Factions is the fastest one to beat if you can get the 10k faction quickly. In the way of armor, the most different kinds are in prophecies, many have said that the only good thing about factions was the armors, and the ones in nightfall are just, well ok. Replayability hm, I usually take all of my characters no matter where they started thru prophecies if not just for the free skills, but for the armor (ok my paragon and rit were not impressed), I like its storyline. I also run thru factions because its quick, nightfall is probably the only one I really dont like playing over again, some of the missions just leave me wanting to stop playing altogether. So I probably havent answered your request, but I have given you a lot of information. Hope you find it helpful if nothing else. |

I'm sorry, but I find it very bizzare that anyone coming into Guild Wars as a new player fails to have the "search for an answer that's been there for two years" capability present!
Searching isn't such a hard task! |

Prophecies - No real quests involved, you can buy runs to certain mission towns, such as Sanctum Cay and quickly end up at the desert. Probably the longest campaign imo, and my least fav.
Factions - Most challenging campaign if you don't have heroes or just starting out the game. My second fav, because its rather short. Storyline is pretty interesting. Nightfall - Has heroes, which makes life easier if PuGs don't work. Items that drop here are inscribable, meaning you can remod. Easiest campaign to get through, imo. Some might say prophecies is the easiest, but the last 4-5 missions consume way too much time and I'm really impatient when it comes to a 30-45 min mission. If your new to the game of GWs, I would suggest either Nightfall or Prophecies. Factions is a more challenging campaign to start out in. However, as you learn the basics, and complete one campaign, try the others out. Good luck and have fun. |

We'll Factions completely sucks.
I'd say Nightfall is the best, then prophs. Factions shouldn't be reconigzed as a campaign. |

Prophecies>factions>nightfall
P.S. NF is not worth it. (I don't like the quests, the mission, the weapons/items and the storyline) |

I think Nightfall is the most popular, but each campaign offers you something different, for sure.
If you care, Prophecies has the best learning curve. |

Nightfall is my fave, followed closely by prophs. Factions is ok but not in the same league as the other two imo.

I'd have recommended getting the pack with Prophecies & EotN. makes most sense to start out in my opinion since you're getting both Prophecies and the expansion. This deal isn't available with the other campaigns as far as I'm aware.
