about to buy 2 campaigns
ok i've had factions for quite a while.. i got it as a present long time ago but i never got the game and i quit
now i started again and it is soo awesome.. so then i saw the buy the new expansion and get a second one 50% off.. so should i buy eye of north and nightfall or eye and prophecys.. I am going towards nightfall but i heard most people use prophecy spells in pvp so what would ruin my pvp experience? this is holiday season so my parents will probably by it for me so yay!!! also i heard gw2 is coming out.. should i just wait and use the money to buy gw2 or is it far off? how far estimate? |

Well, Nightfall gives you heroes, which are quite useful. However, GWEN also gives you heroes, so that's not as crucial. Nightfall, however, does give you access to the Dervish and Paragon professions, which are quite good IMO.
Personally, while there are some good skills in Prophecies, I didn't care for it as much as far as the campaign is concerned. You can buy the skill pack for prophecies for like $5 from the online store, so if the skills from prophecies are what you're after, you can always go that route. Regardless, I like Nightfall better than Prophecies, so I'd suggest going w/ Nightfall + GWEN... As for GW2, it's at least a year out, possibly 2, so if you don't mind waiting that long, then that's certainly an option... |

I wouldn't expect to see GW2 until 2009 at the earliest. It starts Beta in 2008 some time.
Nightfall would give you 2 new professions to play with and all their skills. Giving you more profession combination choices. Nightfall also released some really big skills which turned out to dominate the game. They are almost no-brainers now. |

Buy the two campaigns. They're cheap compared to starting a filler game before GW 2 comes out.

Guild Wars 2 is a long time away so you'd be better off buying the campains you want.

It's probably cheaper to buy Nightfall with your discount, then get Prophecies at a retail store for really cheap. |
