Factions because you already got the heroes. You can just get some people from your alliance/guild or friends and it has more armor/skills.

I have all four releases, but if I were purchasing in order based on how much value/fun I've gotten from each, Factions would be the fourth purchase after GWEN (w/ Prophecies first and Nightfall second).

I'd go factions. You'll be able to get EOTN for a bargain later.

Factions. You'll get far more gameplay out of it, not to mention two new classes and non-reskinned armours...

I found the factions storyline boring, but thats my opinion. GWEN was very interesting for me, especially with the different arcs to play simultaneously.
Factions would definitely be the choice if your going for more skills, but GWEN for more interesting PvE. Hope my opinion helps OR you could buy both, especially with the offers in GW store xD Blue |

I prefer factions over GWEN. I am disappointed that in order to get GWEN armor you basically have to beat GWEN, unlike Factions armor you can get almost immediately. The GWEN PvE skills are also a disappointment because they don't have the specific connection to each profession like the Factions or NF faction skills.
I also like how factions has new elite skills, and there are only a very few GWEN skills that are very interesting. There are many good Factions skills. Factions also nets you 2 new character slots, 2 new professions, another page in your storage, and some great item skins/locales. Overall, I kind of regret getting GWEN - it took a game about a big overarching plot and turned it into this little niche game built around all the nooks and crannies of the Prophecies map that were never visited in that campaign. The lack of more character slots or pages of storage is an insult for the price, and the new heroes are no better than the ones from NF; you'd think the Asura/Norn/Vanguard heroes would *at least* be able to use a skill of their associated faction... |
