Stacking means if you have two of the same kind of item, you will get both of the benefits. Non stacking means the opposite.
For example: Vigor runes do not stack with each other. Therefore, if you put two Superior Vigor runes on different armor pieces, you will only get 50 health (instead of 100). However, vitae runes do stack. So if you put two of them on different armor pieces, you will get 20 health and not just 10. Also, keep in mind that with other superior (and major) runes, you will not get the the attribute bonus but you will incur both health penalties. So if you used two superior runes of swordsmanship, you will only get +3 swordsmanship but you will lose 150 health. If you try to stack a major and a minor, superior and minor, or major and superior, you will get the benefit of the most powerful rune (again, still getting the penalty from both). |
