I think I'll just stick to the keyboard + mouse thanks ^^
I'm left handed but because of the totally unfair right-handedness of everything ever created I do most things just as good if not better with my right hand - except for handwriting. I have been using a mouse right handed since I first started using a computer and it feels totally natural to me now. Us lefties are so descriminated against though - every door handle and pair of scissors mocks us. |

As a left handed player i find using wasd movement uncomfortable with my hands close together. Having your arms wider apart increases comfort and even speed in hitting buttons, great for interrupting.
As such i use the following setup for movement. forward - home key back - end key turn left - delete key turn right - page down key strafe left - insert key strafe right - page up key I then have party/item targetting assigned to the numpad while changing the show others key from alt to shift, allowing me to use just my thumb on either side of the keyboard to show all foes+allies by pressing shift+ctrl simultaniously. I keep the standard c/space setupsand have the view allies as well as 1-8 for skill useage. I also have skills 1-2 assigned to extra buttons on my mouse and always put skills like interrupts, WoH, RoF etc on them allowing me to directly click a target on screen such as an npc not in party window and WoH them. this means while using the movement keys on the right i can still comfortably use skills on the left of the keyboard, and if i have to switch to mouse movement for any reason i have fast access to my 2 most important skills still using my left hand. Well, thats what i have found most comfortable to play as anyway, and with the multiple options such as moving/using skills with mouse its very adaptable. Quote:
i just send them to www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk XD I used to use a moause in my right hand because there was no room on my old family pc to move it to the left, but when they bought a "dolphin mouse" designed to shape around your hand i found it arkward to use the buttons as it reduced the control i had on my right hand, so from then on i thought why the hell should i change to accomodate other people. Its great if your worknig in an office and the computer is setup as right handed. Technically your not allowed to move the mouse yourself so you can't start work till a tech support member comes down to change it over for you . Well at least in the UK in the places i have worked tech support for. Last edited by isamu kurosawa; Jan 17, 2008 at 02:10 PM // 14:10.. |

this is a good topic even if I'm right-handed, using some standard but modified setup
WASD for for movement, R for running, T for following target, TAB for target next foe, numbers 1-8 for skills but the sub/super text next the 1 is also again skill 8 F1-F4 are my weapon sets and some more uses for alt and spacebar too just wondering how many would just a keyboard solo and no mouse?
