A way to make Whispers more noticable? - Guild Wars Forums

I've been out of the guildwars loop for a long time so was just curious if there was maybe a 3rd party addon or something to allow IM boxes in game to display whispers or if there is anyway to edit a sound to play anytime u get one? When im doing stuff in a town I cant always be staring at the chat log and it doesn't help that It's constantly being spammed with anything and everything.

First of all, if your not looking at the chat box while in a town, turn off Local & Trade chat to eliminate the spam. Only turn them on when you actually want to see what's being said.

Secondly, there is a "ping" sound when a whisper arrives, but you may not be able to hear it over other sounds. Go to Menu >> Options >> Sound and turn up the "UI volume" (or turn down the others) so the ping is more noticeable.

Good question.....Also in other games, you can create additional text chat boxes, so you can have chat related text in one box...game play in the other..can you do that in GW?

No, you only have one chat box in Guild Wars.

would be nice to have dual screen support. I would love to throw my chatbox on a crappy monitor with the lowest possible settings.

I also vote for the multiple monitor support.. Would be nice if I could put a enlarged Mission map and Hero Skill bars on another screen ... Actually It's no problem minimizing gw and just dragging the screen bigger but then It would be nice if you could set your char center. so that your char is still in the middle of your screen while the expanded Mission map and hero bars are on the other screen.

As for the Pm's I have Local and Trade turned off unless i'm bored on wat to Buy/Sell something.
