accidentally Reported Wrong person >.< - Guild Wars Forums

so, I used the /report to report someone with an inappropriate name, that was obviously bypassing the filter, however not looking closely I had a character selected and accidentally reported the wrong person.

Kind of worried my account will be suspended for "abuse"
should I send a ticket to anet alerting them of my mistake or would they do it for one slip up?

I'd say it'd be best to send a ticket, also with the name you were trying to report.

They don't ban for such a minor thing. Now if you had reported everyone in the town, then you might get a temp ban.

I wouldn't worry. I have done it a few times before and nothing has happened to me.

If its just once, it shouldn't be a problem. At worst they just give you a temp ban, but I really don't see that happening. Just be more careful in the future.

"Abusing" the report system means you file like 20-40 false reports a day. 1 or 2 slip ups (which I have done before) won't do anything.
