If you think about it, most people who spent the 30 bucks were just buying EOTN, so they got a little bonus with their purchase, while those who bought in-store just got the game.

Ok..coming from your side of things..yes..we should all buy from the online store and save Anet hundreds of thousands of dollars on marketing, packaging and shipping. I'm sure this all looks good on paper, truth is, if they had released the Bonus Pack in a box, or even in a Special Edition PC-Gamer magazine, Anet would have sold sooo many more copies of the BPM. You can search this site to get the real feelings of the people who bought three extra characters slots so they could get the "limited offer BMP". Just as if they were to re-release the Collectors Edition i would be upset because i spent the extra money to get the CE. Wich i dont think you could download a Collecters Edition because what would you really be collecting? Data? I enjoy having my CE box sets with the Artbook and extra literature. Heck, thats why its called a Collectors Edition, bucause there are Tangable Items to Collect. Just imajine how well baseball cards would sell, if you virtually downloaded the cards. Anyway, i own all campaigns (in Box Sets, who knows mabe the boxes will be worth something some day) and totally enjoy my Guild Wars experience. I am just one of the many people who dont like to purchase downloads. If the BMP was sold - Offline..I would buy it. I dont pay for downloads, and since Guild Wars came out, i have boycotted all pay per month games entirely. Sure, its a great marketing ploy to push for the online store, because it costs a mere fraction to sell people downloads, but people like me will always want something they can hold in their hands when purchasing something. I hope they do someday release the BMP in a box, or in a magazine..so i can buy it. |

I can understand why you want the box and CD for the campaigns and expansions (I do too - I like the boxes), but the BMP is not a new piece of software, it's just access to stuff that's ALREADY ON YOUR COMPUTER. It was dynamically installed during one of the many updates. If you re-install GW, you'll end up re-installing it too. Think of this analogy - you have a CD player - let's say it's one of the ones that holds 200 CDs. So, since you like boxes (and it is a CD player) you also buy all the CDs and put them in it. Then you think you'd like to make up some playlists but there is an on-line site that sells pre-made playlists. Would you expect some sort of box and CD for the playlists? Or can you see that it's just a way to arrange stuff you already have? Well, the BMP is basically like a playlist. All the resources are already on your computer as part of the game. The BMP just arranges them into a few bonus missions (playlists). There really is not much sense in having a box & CD. |

You don't need any of the disks. All that stuff is very old anyway. All you need is the GW client, and your keys to whatever games you buy. It just loads areas as you enter them. So the first time you enter a new area you have to wait for a large download. It is the quickest way to get up and running. But it really annoys people that you play with in the same group while they wait for you to load up the new game area.

Hey, maybe they will have a later boxed version of the BMP that will have an insert of a naked Eve and all you people who used the online store now will feel the wrath of those of us that didn't get their nice GWEN box |

In my opinion, this isnt worth having in a box. Its just 4 missions, so I can completely understand it being online only. |

I got the BMP with the origional offer because there was no reason for me to get EoTN from a retail store as there was no CE, However i would have purchased it from the online store at the cost it is offered now if i hadn't already gotten it. What is so bad about buying online only content on an online only game when there is nothing physical you could be given worthwhile. You pay for access not a CD, you ask for a reciept and you get a more detailed invoice and only need to keep a referance number safe as proof of purchase. Its even possible to get a refund if you used an online store whereas a birck and mortar store wouldn't allow it. Hmm me work of Anet. I'd love a job in their quest writing team |

Plus adding in the extra fuel costs it takes to deliver the items to the store. Also your own transportation costs to pick up the product. I live 30 mins away from a store I could pick up a "boxed" version. Downloading games through the net has saved me much. No transportation or tax fees. Digital downloads FTW! |
