How do I get Karleen the gargoyle skulls? Iron ingots?
I'm in pre-searing. She wants gargoyle skulls. I've figured out that I need to kill the ones called "shatter gargoyle". Are there near Karleen or are they somewhere else in the catacombs? I killed all the ones near Karleen and couldn't find any shatter gargoyles.
Where do I get iron ingots? According to a support article, you buy them from "material traders". I haven't seen any traders called that. All the ones I've seen are just called "merchant". |

All the gargoyles near Karleen in the Catacombs do drop gargoyle skulls. Although they don't seem to drop them that often, so it can take a while to get enough of them. Just kill all the gargoyles and pick up any skulls they drop; then zone out of the Catacombs and then back in again. Rinse and repeat until you have enough skulls. As I said, this can take a while but you can make a bit of a profit from it.
For iron ingots, you can get them from material traders. However, the first material traders you come across are after the Searing. If you need iron before you go to post, use a salvage kit on things like swords, axes or canes. If it looks like it has iron in it, you can usually salvage some iron out of it. |

For iron ingots and other materials, you need to salvage weapons or armor drops with a Salvage Kit.
Metal looking weapons and armor should give you iron ingots. |

Go further into the catacombs and you will kill more gargoyles. And you can get iron ingots by buying a salvage kit and salvaging your drops. Swords, hammers, bows, etc will salvage into different materials, iron, wood, cloth, bones and so on.

What do you need iron for in Pre anyway? There's nothing I can think of, unless that Weapons Crafter in Ascalon City needs it. I really wouldn't bother - you'll get weapon drops anywhere better than what that guy has.
Unless you really, really gotta have that Khylo jobbie
