Question regarding adding cd key - Guild Wars Forums

So, I managed to get a 'US' version of Nightfall for myself, and am wondering if it will work or not when added to my EU (prophecies+factions+eotn, all bought in UK) account?

I was also thinking this as swapping between districts is more open now (no more 5 limit), so why would they make different versions anymore really.

I'm assuming that there are different versions because of the different distributors that Anet uses throughout the world so that the different restrictions on trade etc. between countries will not stop the spread of the game copies ^^
