Troll Farming question
I've heard of Warrior primaries solo farming the troll cave near Droknar's Forge in Talus Chute, and I'm wondering what all skills are involved?
I have a solid build for minotaur farming in Anvil Rock, which relies on Shield Stance and Reposte/Deadly Reposte/other sword-based blocking skills. However, upon attempting to test that build in Talus Chute, I was quickly overwhelmed because I couldn't block fast enough, and Shield Stance's 75% apparently wasn't enough to keep me from dying. What would be a good skill setup to take advantage of the fact that I'm only up against warriors...given that the character I'm trying to use is one? P.S. - my secondary right now is Ele, and I don't have many Monk skills unlocked on this character (like, no more than three atm). |

I know a friend who did this mostly to powerlvl other friends, and I believe it works only in NM.
The build is something like this: [skill]Riposte[/skill] [skill]Deadly Riposte[/skill] [skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill] [skill]Mending[/skill] [skill]Gladiator's Defense[/skill] [skill]Healing Breeze[/skill] [skill]Live Vicariously[/skill] [skill]Bonetti's Defense[/skill] or [skill]Healing Signet[/skill] Can't remember the last the skill and I'm not sure about the others. I think I also saw a variant using cyclone axe and a few other axe skills instead of the sword stuff. Hope this helps. |

I have a warrior build i use to do this. Wanted to see if it was faster than 55ing them, which is why i did it.
The trolls main strength is their adrenaline skills, what you need is a 20% enchantment mod, and simply use both of the mesmer skills: visage and sympatheetic visage, these will take away all ofthe trolls adrenaline skills. I then use cyclone axe, and the elite stance which gives a lot o energy per attack, and also lions comfort, which is enabled after every swing, so swing heal swing heal. I shall post the exact build tomorrow, but i am very tired atm, as its late in britain. Gaw |

Or make it a zealous axe so you can ditch bonetti's defense.

You could try a physical resistance based build, should be fairly simple.

I struggled to do this, even with the war/mo build. - can kill a couple but it usually ends in failure for me. Nothing really dropped for me either. Maybe I just suck.
If u want to farm for loot, 5 man wurm farming at salahja ruins is much easier and more profitable - a run takes about 15-20 mins and usually yields between 1 - 4k dependent upon the drops, with the added bonus of sunspear & lightbringer points |

Drops on a Troll run will always suck. You will get a lot of Raven Staffs and Troll Tusks, but not much else, and even if you get a good gold weapon, it won't be inscribable, and chances of having good stats are rare. Only farm Trolls for tusks to take to the collector or XP.

The drops are not really that good but they can drop fellblades and FDS, which are sometimes good. |
