Question on Insignias
Ok i some noob question on how insignias work.
If i have one Knights insignia(-3dmg), Dreadnaught(10armorvs ele), Stalwart(+10vs physical), and Brawlers(10armor while attacking) all equipted will i get all of those bonuses or does each of my armor peices have to have the same insignia. To get -3 from knights how many peices of armor has to have this insignia? If only 1 has it will i still get -3 dmg or less? How does the armor system work? Thank You |

In GW, attacks and spells hit certain body parts, either being the head, body, hands, feet, or legs. So wherever you get hit, it calculates all the armor and insignias on that piece.
You have a 1/8 chance of getting hit in the head, 3/8 chance of getting hit on the chest, 1/8 chance of getting hit in the hands, 2/8 chance of getting hit in the legs, and 1/8 chance of getting hit in the feet. |

Well actualy it has been proven that you can't even get hit by the handsfrom projectiles for some reason. Even if the skill image eg. Precision Shot has an arrow sticking right through a hand. I can't remember much but is this the same for melee or just projectiles.

There was a test a long time ago, lead by PanSola (of GuildWiki), to see if projectiles could hit the hands. Results came in that they NEVER hit the hands (including spell projectiles).
It's been a long time since then, and I'm pretty sure it's been fixed. |

Each one of those (particular) Insignias only affects the armor piece it's on. So, for example, if you have a Stalwart only on your chest, only your chest would have +10 vs physical. If you wanted to have +10 vs physical on all your armor, you'd have to put a Stalwart on each piece. However, some Insignias don't act that way. For, example, Survivor insignias will add to your total health. Go here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Insignia for more info. |

The key is when you're dealing w/ insignias w/ "global bonuses", like Quaker mentioned. Bloodstained insignias help you exploit corpses faster, regardless of what piece they're on. Similarly, any insignia that grants extra energy or hp doesn't care about what piece it's on; you simply get the extra hp and that's it.
Generally speaking, you want the best armor on your chest, then legs... |

well thanks for the info...
If you dont mind another question: What in your opinion is generally(for pve) the best setup runes/insignia wise for a warrior(obviously already has sword on head) I was thinking of going all health bonus ones with minor sword and minor tactics. what do you think of this? |

It may depend upon what sort of build you want. Warriors don't have much energy, so, if you want to try some sort of variation of an Obsidian Warrior (W/E), you may want to use Radiant insignias to boost your energy. A good combination for a W/E is to put Survivor runes on the head, hands and feet (for +15 health) and radiants on the chest and legs (+5 energy).
Other than that, I've always been a fan of straight Survivor insignias because a large health pool helps vs degen. Rune wise, you'd want some sort of Vigor - at least Major Vigor. Superior Absorption is cheap, and useful. The rest depend upon your build again, but put the swords/axe/hammer rune on a matching headpiece to make things easier if you want to switch.
