Ranger heroes are useless, unless you want to completely shut down an enemy monk.

Warrior heroes can be very useful. I always bring Koss along. With the right build he can be a tenacious workhorse and do signifcant, steady damage.
Ranger heores can be quite beneficial as well, but I tend not to use them. I've never felt the need to bring an Assassin. |

Also, splinter-barrage ranger & critical barrage assassin does some really serious damage. I admit I rarely bring any warrior hero, though; normally I have minions tanking and if there are no minions I'd rather take a Dervish than a Warrior. EDIT: Rangers don't suck with BHA. The problem is that they use it as their first attack, while the enemy is still charging/chasing, and therefore they often miss. Give the ranger Hunters Shot and he'll use that instead while the enemy is moving, and BHA when the enemy stops. Works. Also don't forget to have Epidemic on at least one hero. Never
Never as good (well....) as peeps, but I like my hero minion master. They are much more useful if you take the time to get them some decent elites.

I play in Prophesies 90% of the time. I use Factions for quick easy max armor. I use NF for the heroes you can grab real quick, Koss, Melonni, Dunkoro, Talhkora, 1 of the Acolytes, and Olias. I don't know enough about the Assassin to bother with her.
I use hero classes that I have the most experience in. I have played all the classes at least a little. My mainstays are R, E, W, Mo. My 'teams' consist mostly of combinations of those. In teams of 6 or 8, I sprinkle in N, Me, another W (axe/hammer), E (if fire, I change my build to Air), or Protector. When I get more into NF or GW:EN, I wll experiment more with the other classes. Right now, these heroes do their jobs as I expect them to. I have 2 R1 survivors, Prophesies born, using these teams. |

I personally thought Sin hero'snt worth the bother till i had to get my mesmer through factions with very limited heros. It was my sin hero that made me create my own Sin :P. I find them better in pairs but good for damage and body blocking.
My warrior i have recently replaced in favour of my dervish hero - as he used to tank using a W/R build or a W/E build and he tends to do the job and keep my booties free of monster slime. My ranger... wow... you mean you dont use Broad Head Arrow on them? Rangers set as interrupts have better response times than humans and are generally pretty nails at getting them in, theyre also reasonably well aied and stay of out the fray pretty well! |
