Confused about game set-up.
I used to play guild wars back when it first appeared on the market. having spent a while away i come back to see there is now 4 versions, having looked at them i become a tad confused about if they where updates or whole new versions (stand alones)
I have guildwars, (orginal) and i was looking to update but im not sure where i start ? Do i need to get all the additional game to be able to play? or will i be able to just buy the lastest one and it will include everything form the preivous? A little help will go along way here, many thanks in advance Nedge |

To play it all you need the 3 chapters (Proph, Factions, Nightfall and the add on Eye of the North) but you still can play GW even when you only have 1 of them.
Eye of the North is th eonly not - stand alone add on. (only needs one of the main chapters) Don't worry about updates they come in automaticly at log on. Greezt , Frank |

Prophecies is the original.
Factions and Nightfall are 'stand alone' games. You don't need the original to play, but if you already have the game add the keys to your current account so any characters you have can play in those games. Eye of the North (or GW:EN) is an add on. You need one of the other three to play it. |

If you enjoyed playing it in the past I would say it is worth getting the other two chapters plus the expansion.

If in the first instance you are only buying one of them I would recommend either the expansion (GWEN) or Nightfall; both of these give you access to hero's, which are hench that you can take with you ( max of 3 ) and can be customised with Runes, Insignia's and Skill-bars. GWEN will not give you extra char slots, or any new classes to play, but will allow you access to more adventures on your existing char.

I would recomend you buy both Factions and Nightfall as they both have key features for pvp and pve. Personally i didnt really enjoy Eotn, esp didnt like the fact you had to grind reputation to get the armour and titles.
