profession wise?
rangers are good - very versatile so you can experiment with builds and so on. eles and necros are not bad for a newb. best advice from me steer clear of the factions only chars - 'sin / rit also dont go with monk or mes at the moment - need some more exp before trying to spam out combos or be rely'd upon to keep your whole party alive! just my advice xD |

The most newbie-friendly professions are probably the warrior and elementalist. They're relatively straightforward to get to grips with while you get the basics of game mechanics and how things work under your belt.
Another relatively straightforward profession to learn with is the ranger. Rangers are quite flexible in what they can do, and are excellent survivors. Plus they get a pet, and a little extra muscle like that is never a bad thing |

Depends on how you want to play. Do you want to deal damage from the frontlines or the back. If you want to get up close and personal go with a Warrior, high AL and decent DPS. If you want to hit people from the back go with an Elementalist, lots of energy for some high powered skills. Just depends on how you want to play.

Yeah, i would recomend warrior, ranger or elementalist. All are great professions that have an easy learning curb and have great versatility.

I started with Necro/monk as my first character and I didn't have much trouble getting through quest and such, had a good balance to work with. I think its mostly about what your looking to do that reflects on what profession is best to use.
I would say however to try not to go with an Assassin, had a lot of trouble with that profession in the beginning. |

Yep. All of the above.
Try creating some PvP only characters and go to the Random Arenas. You could experiment with each class and see which fits your playing style best. |
