Kahmu's skills "locked"? - Guild Wars Forums

I recently unlocked Kahmu (Dervish hero) on my EOTN account. I'm not sure if it's significant, but I don't have Nightfall. Well, I was playing around in Ascalon with my main character, and thought I'd do some vanquishing in the area and I invited Kahmu to join along. Remembering that new heros only have 7 skills, I thought I'd check out what he had to see what to add for number 8. When I pulled them up, six of them had a little padlock icon on them. I've never seen this before. Any body have an explanation for my noobish question? I tried searching here first, but with no success. Thank you!

dont really know the answer on ur no-so-noobish question (no question is a stupid question

) i guess its got something to do with you not having NF though, seeing as you wont have acces to the NF skills

Daemon is right. Those skills are locked because you don't own Nightfall. Same goes with capping elites from games you don't have in GWEN. If you try to cap, say, Shadow Prison for your assassin but you don't own Nightfall you won't be able to use it when you cap it.

ding ding, we have a winner, reason why those skills have a "lock" image is because you dont have access to NF, and as you dont have access to that game, no access to the normal skills, as well as elite skills, even though if these are in eotn.

Good to know. Thanks for the help guys. Guess I won't bother throwing away money on runes for him. I wonder if there are any more useless unlocks I can collect....

Get Hayda if you want more useless unlocks. If you don't even have factions, get Anton and Xandra.

Who needs Nightfall....

if you dont have nightfall you wont be able to properly use the dervish and paragon heroes. same with the assassin and ritualist heroes if you dont have factions. imo you should have gotten nightfall before eotn, but that just my opinion.

Nightfall is the only campaighn I don't have. I wanted heros and EOTN was cheaper. If I can't use them at this point, so be it I guess. Maybe I'll pick up NF when I finish Factions and EOTN. I just hardly get any time to play anymore and it would seem to be a waste of money to have one more campaign go unfinished. With any luck, I'll finish what I have before GW2 comes out.

As stated above, those skills are locked because you don't own the correct campaign, however, heroes can still use those skills, you just can't control when they use it, beyond telling to not use it.

So if that hero has a decent base skill set, I can still use him with those skills in his skill bar? If that's the case, I'll have to check out what he has and maybe just replace any of his craptacular skills with skills from whatever secondary I give him. Good to know. Thanks!!!

Oh yea, since I obviosly don't have NF, I'm not familiar with Dervish skills at all. Can anyone tell me which of his skills could/should go out the door for your basic PVe build? Thanks some more!
