Which Campaign should I purchase Next (the millionth one of these probably)
Ok right now I only own Nightfall, and I must say Nightfall has made me reclaim a love for Guildwars.
I started with Prophecies when it first came out, quit prophecies, started replaying it before factions came out, quit it again because the fragmented story and the fact that I had no idea what I was doing made it kind of a bad experience I bought Nightfall about a month ago, Started off as a Dervish (got it to 20 finished 10 missions) then made a Paragon (two missions left) and I must say this has been the most fun experience in an MMORPG I have had because the mix of Story, the million different ways to run a build, and being that my Alliance is awesome with people that help me and not criticize me when I have a question. So now I am almost done with Nightfalls, and I will start doing the elite missions soon, I am looking into seeing what is the next Campaign I should buy. Prophecies, Factions, or GWEN I am asking for your guys opinion and here is my Criteria 1) Storyline 2) High End Content 3) Amount of time needed to Game Help me figure out which I should buy next |

Either Factions or Prophecies. I'd suggest Prophecies - long, fun story, a lot of skills, most of people play there (for example, most of the UW/FoW groups are in ToA). Storyline is more lineal than Nightfall, but it's longer and kinda easier.

1) Storyline: I'd say my favorite is GW:EN, with Prophecies as a close second.
2) High End Content: GW:EN has the most dungeons, probably the best end content 3) Amount of time needed to Game: Pretty short if you play a decent bit a day (a few hours a day), but for a weekend gamer, it should last you a decent bit, definitely not as long as Prophecies is. |

I'd say get Nightfall and GWEN for heroes, Ursan, and other skills in GWEN.

Everybody says the story in Prophecies was entertaining, but I hated it. It was everywhere, then they tied it all together really fast at the end. Thats my opinion though.
Start off with war against Charr, being rushed away to Kryta where all of the sudden I help the white mantle, oh wait, now I am fighting the white mantle, who were duped by A lich Lord who want to gain control of Titans which are the so called gods of the Charr. Oh don't forget about Acesencion. I may be wrong about that storyline but ehh just did not do it for me. Then again I loved the storyline for Nightfall which a lot of people hated so maybe I am weird. |

I would recommend Prophecies just because of the story and how it ties in with the Eye of the North expansion. It also has the most content out of any of the campaigns, and it's also a lot longer. I would recommend Factions last because it's short, and not as deep as the other campaigns.
Eye of the North is almost a must if you ask me. It, like factions, is also quite short but it sports slightly improved graphics, new skills (most are blatantly overpowered PvE skills) and of course the Hall of Monuments where all of your max titles, prestige armor, Destroyer weapons, mini pets, and heroes will go and offer you rewards when GW2 comes into play. All in all I'd say get Prophecies, then when you're ready get Eye of the North and if you still want more, get Factions. My 2 cents |

Since I prefer myself to be consistent, this is what I'll say.-
Don't bother. Wait for GW2 instead. |

Get EoTN. That'll keep you going for 6 months. Well, as long as you're not one of these people that play for 6+ hours everyday.

Yeah, I'd have to say Eye of the North as well, truth be told. Easily the most high-end content of anything you don't have... the storyline is reasonable (Prophecies is kind of nice there, but the Factions storyline is terrible, unfortunately)... can be a time sink but if you just play through the campaign it's not going to take so much. It's the dungeons that really take time, but they're also your high-level content.
Prophecies isn't far behind though, although it has precious little high-end content to interest you. Factions just wasn't designed that well; there are some nice things about it, but it'd be the last on my list, to be honest. |

Since you are going for high-end, nothing beats the dungeons in EotN. Go for that. You already tried Prophecies twice, so you might as well keep that for last. Most of the Prophecies elites you can get in EotN, as well.

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me. I originally bought Prophecies way back when it was first released, but I never really got into the game. It wasn't until Nightfall was released, and the addition of Heroes that I really started playing. I'd probably recommend playing Prophecies next, but if you can find the Platinum edition, you should get that, as it includes both Prophecies and Eye of the North.
I personally found Eye of the North to be the most enjoyable of any of the games, despite what everyone else might tell you. Although a lot of the content is clearly reused from the other campaigns, it's still a lot of fun, and very rewarding. Factions adds a lot of nice new armour sets and the environment is very nice, but the storyline isn't particularly good and the missions can be very frustrating. |

I'd also recommend trying Prophecies next. It offers a good amount of quality play and has that classic fantasy feel most people can appreciate.
