ANet's servers officially suck?
Is it just me, or is everyone (or mostly everyone) haveing issues connecting all of a sudden. Sure, ANet has been announcing errors and re-routeings on their part (for once), but this is just getting ridiculous.
I can log in, but i cant create a new character or even play an existing one without getting stuck with a "connecting...." pop-up. am i the only one? (oh, and ive power-cycled my modem --using a "surfboard" from roadrunner's cable modem line) |

I am not having that problem. I did have a lot of lag yesterday, though, but none today.

Oh thank god it's not only me...I even uninstalled the game and am right now using the -image command to get it all back to normal...but I fear that it still won't fix it :/

I'm not sure what your thread title is suggesting, but the problem isn't effecting everyone since I'm having no problems and AW Lore in this thread stated they aren't either.
Problem is most likely from your end, your PC, modem , router or ISP, since we'd all be having the issues if it was Anet's servers. I actually think Anet hardware caters very well for the vast amount of users online. |

What does it mean when you can stream content from the login screen, yet you can't connect? I got over that problem after 3 hours. I can now load into House zu Heltzer. But when I try to map to Harvest Temple, I get either 005 or 007.

i think it may have a lot to do with where you are located and connectivity issues to anet from there. I'm sure you've read all the threads re comcast and others.

I never had issues. But in the last days i had 19 error 7's and 4 error 40. And the first error 7 was my first one in 4000 hours of guildwars ^_^
I think they are reconnecting all the servers etc. And maybe they had some problems. But they dont tell so we never know |

I use to have zero error 7s when the game first came out for about a year now i get many everynight, when i am about to have an error 7 i can still view websites and or use voip with no issues. My testing on the issue has included different computers routers adsl routers different network runs. It seems either my isp trottles guildwars, they (gw) have reduced their bandwidth allowance or tier 1 like verzion are screwing us the consumer by not replacing routers that are dropping packets because they are within limits of ToS.

i've been receiving the same "connecting..." message also. never received it before but have seen it a lot the last two weeks or so. been dealing with a bit of lag also.
i'd like to take a moment and apologize to the group i was with last night in the tombs. i was the group's healer and lagged out on the third level. i felt terrible but there was nothing i could do. i live on long island. perhaps some others in this area are having the same problem. |

Well i talked to my buddy today who lives like, 5 minutes away and said he was having the same trouble so its probably an access/routing issue with our area. It seems better today.
Oddly enough, today was the day ANet said there would be problems...and ive been going fine straight through |
