Just bought GW:Factions
So I bought Factions for the sole purpose of PvPing. (WoW pvp got boring). Anyways, I created an elementalist/monk PvP-only character. Now I realise that this type of char is severely disadvantaged due to lack of skills and all, but ever since I've started to do Random Arenas, I have not yet won one game - and I've played about 50 games or so. I am wondering is it because I am letting the team down or something? I am currently and air elementalist and usually just spamming Lightening Orb, Lightening Surge and Lightening Strike while running around.
Can somebody offer me some tips on playing an elementalist in PvP and also suggest ways of improving. Also, are there other means of PvP currently available to me or do I have to wait till I am good enough for a guild to want me to participate in guild battles? Also, I've heard that getting to level 20 is fairly easy and quick in Factions, so should I get an RP character to level 20 so I can access more skills? (Also, is it possible to solo your way to level 20? ie. no need to join parties) Thanks in advance. Last edited by Jack_bauer233; Mar 09, 2008 at 06:13 AM // 06:13.. |

Since you're new to GW, i suggest you take a look at the wikis: gw.gamewikis.org
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page I also suggest that you start a PvE character that way you'll unlock some skills as well as a better understanding of the game mechanics. Also on the unofficial wiki there is a link to PvX wiki, a wiki specifically for builds. |

If you are going to play PvP only i'd suggest you buy the skill packs from the online store.
