Who would want to buy an account that the seller can claim back any time after he/she is paid?
All they need is the CD key and tell NC-Soft that the account was stolen. |

couple things. something being a EULA violation and something being illegal are two completely different things.
like stated above, it's against the EULA to sell any in game items because you don't OWN any of the items. ncsoft/anet owns EVERYTHING. you pay your fee and that gives you the right to use THEIR game. you don't actually own anything. so selling any of their property is 100% a violation. however, the way many people get around that is that they don't actually sell the game/characters/items. they sell their time spent. if you do that, ebay can and sometimes will pull the auction down. you can still get your account canceled. HOWEVER, even though it's against the spirit of the EULA, it's technically not a violation. also, like said above. if you don't get the actual physical paper with the printed key for the account, having all the login info does no good. anyone with the original proof and paper key can reset the account. disclaimer: i'm not a copyright/licensing lawyer so take the above info at your own risk. |

"You are bidding on my time" is a misnomer and only idiots think that gets around things.
When you win such an auction, you don't receive time in the mail. You receive account access. This is directly what is an EULA violation and everyone knows it. |

What about buying unused keys for mini-pets on e-bay?
People advertise magazines that featured "free codes" for certain mini-pets. Buying theses magazines and using the codes doesn't violate the EULA does it? |

@OP The EULA actually states that Anet can ban you whenever for whatever reasons they want. Getting caught for buying/selling an account on E-bay(or whatever variations of that) is a quick way to the top of their ban lists. |

Didn't need that many to say you can't do it.
