The price of Greens... - Guild Wars Forums

Ok, so everyone knows that vendoring Greens nets you 35g. However, I recently discovered that if you ID the Green beforehand, it is actually worth a little more. What's really strange is that the value is not consistent, even over the same Green. So far I've ID'd 3 sets of Claws of the Broodmother, the first 2 coming to 36g and the 3rd being 40g. I find this very odd, as I can't seen where the mitigating factor that affects the price could be. It's the same, unique item! If anyone has any thoughts on why this might happen, please share

Same reason as iding any item gives more value, you know everything about it. And most items have different properties which change their value (inherant in the item, not the mods, excluding the increased price isncription). The greens are just slightly different

yeah this has been posted before.. with awesome pics :P (byzzr benediction thread) when you id something it adds value to the original vendor price.

I know what IDing does...I just found it bizzare that Green items which should all be identical have different values...
