Sorrows Furnace Music is....missing?
This is probably such a foolish question, but it's bugging me a bit.
I recently recieved a new laptop. Much improved system from my previous one and runs Guild Wars great. Haven't run into any issues, or stange happenings, until now. I figured today would be a great time to finish up work in Sorrows Furnace. On my previous system, it was a tough chore as being in the Furnace equated to poor FPS and bad lag. As I left the War Camp outpost, I geared up my stereo for the music, which I love in that area, only to hear the basic, generic, shiverpeaks music. When I installed Guild Wars on thi new system I only installed Prophicies directly from Disk, the rest I just let the game redownload. Could this be my problem? (I don't see how, but I'm truly at a loss). Or have I simply run into a glitch, a bug, a hiccup, an illness in the system? Basically I'm asking, what am I missing, or what have I done wrong? I know it's only music and it's trivial. You're right, it is. But I do love the Sorrows music and it'll bug me until I know why it's gone missing on me Any help, suggestions, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |

I'm not sure, as I hadn't ever gone to SF until I downloaded it, but if you go to directsong.com look for the "Sorrow's Furnace Mini-Pak".
Let it install to the default directory or it doesn't always work ingame. Bam, Sorrow's furnace music. I dunno if SF uses its (awesome) music if you don't have the pak installed, I've never tried, but whatever. |

Well, some of us weren't playing when it was first released While I knew I had the pak downloaded on my old computer, I wasn't aware that the game was loading from that pak for the music to play in game. I just assumed it was already part of the game.
Problem solved though! It's nice to have that score playing while I'm in that area |

Yeah, I love that music. I cannot believe people play SF with normal Shiverpeak music - it does not fit the theme of the area, AT ALL.
