Can Dyes No Longer Be "Mixed?"
Some of the old dye guides say that u can mixed two or more dyes into one dye. However, when I tried this, it wouldn't let me mix. So is this way of mixing dyes no longer possible? So now the only thing u can do is to use more than one dye at the same time to dye an item, but u can't actually mix two dyes in one?

The only other thing I would add is that some old dye resources might mention "dye remover" - that no longer exists in-game, and was instead replaced by grey dye. Also, different dye has different results, on different armor. Adding silver to a metal/rigid type of armor yields a lustrous look, while silver on many cloth armor just looks gray.

the old way of mixing dyes in the bottles was replaced with the dye preview, a long time ago you COULD 'mix' dyes, now it is no longer possible. Now to 'mix' you just add different dyes to the dye preview window.

As said before, mixing is no longer possible, which imo sucks, cause there ain't no dye preview window for dying your backpack/belt pouch/bags
And yeah, some people sell these "Rarities" for like 25k/ea just cause they're ''old school'' -Vic |

Do those old mixes give the same colors as before the change? (The primary colors were all adjusted)

Ah, a fellow oldschool player!
In the old days, yeah, you'd double click on a dye and then on another to mix it into a new item. Nowadays, you double click a dye and then click on the item you wanna dye - a preview window will pop up with little "slots", which you can drag additional dyes into to mix it. |

there is no practical way to test this, unless you happened to mix dye before the change and still have it, and still know what you mixed .... |

I am also an oldschool player. In the old days one could mix dyes together to get a new bottle of dye with the mixed colors. Nowadays, one mixes up to four dyes in the dye preview, then confirms if they want it or not.

Mojave: Could you do a preview with a red and a purple dye in the preview window? It'd be interesting to see if the present red + purple gives the same result as the mix.

I do think the mixed dye worked differently under the old system though; I think that it was probably forced to conform when the changes occurred. |

Yeah, it looks like the mixes changed when the primary dyes changed.
Too bad, I was hoping it might be possible to get hold of the old shades by looking for any remaining mixes, e.g. a yellow + yellow mix to get the equivalent of an old-style Yellow (on the left) instead of the new-style yellow (right). That might have justified the high prices of mixes reported in this thread. |

hmm... does that mean that you can technically add more then 4 colors since one of the dyes is mixed?

I wish I had access to a mixed dye with dye remover in it; it would be interesting to see how it broke that down (like how the one I used had red + purple). It probably would change it to grey, I suppose. |

Its been a while so my memory is fuzzy, but did the old dye system tell you what colors your mixed dyes where made of when you moused over them? Or is that something new added with the dye system change?
