Preferably somewhere with wolves I'd say...
Seriously though, anywhere that has wolves in it is feasible. You may need to clear out any patrols in some places, but in NM it really doesn't matter. |

agree with above. Longeyes lodge has wolves that spawn near the start.

Best place is the shrine near Sifhalla where the White Wolf spawns. Only a couple of small groups to clear along the way, nothing too tricky. |

In other words, you want a snow wolf *people are thinking black or white apparently* I think, may be wrong, that there is a wolf spawn point outside Ice Tooth Cave, don't take my word on it though.
But what I suggest is just capping it, let it die once then do a vanquish or something while it is dead. that way it only takes damage as a lvl 5, which means not a lot as long as you don't heal it, but it will not be dire that way. |

There are wolves that spawn outside Ice Tooth Cave, literally right outside it. So there should be a res shrine next to them. Shouldn't have any problems with mobs either (the minos are only lvl 12 anyway I seem to remember, so if they happen to aggro then just pwn them)

Training a low level pet to a dire lv20 pet takes about 2 hours anyway, and you can farm some decent stuff at the same time. Just don't feed your pet larger prey than it can handle at any given moment. For the final part I've found Pongmei Valley just outside Tanglewood Copse to be very suitable for the purpose.
Also, if you don't find a convenient shrine near a spawn, you can always borrow a rezzer hero from a friend of yours who has NF and/or EotN. Once your friend leaves the instance you inherit his/her heroes for the remainder of that instance. |

YAKS Bend
I think the best place is Yaks bend It took me 3 mins to clear area so no danger is lurking around that will cause you any problems later on. There is about 4/5 Snow Wolves walking around..so you will have a better chance at gaining a Dire.. I have a few of them done! If anyone needs help with the training to make your pet Dire email me and I will help you get it all set up! Have fun my lovely's Kind regards Lady Katrina |
