How do i play contect from the other games? - Guild Wars Forums

I have all expansions except EOTN. My character that i made was a D/Mo. I wanted to know if it was possible to take him back to ascalon and do the quest and missions there.

Reason is i know that area better then the new ones and my friend is playing and he started off in ascalon.

So any help would be greatly appriciated.

You can run your dervish over to Ascalon and play with your friend, but none of the Ascalonian quests will be available to you. You can only acquire the "newbie" quests in the campaign that your character is native in. For example if you transfer a Prophecies born Elementalist over to Kamadan, that Elementalist will pick up the Elonian storyline around the consulate docks mission. He will not be able to pick up any Istan quests.

If all you want to do though is help your friend, you can run back to Ascalon and join him as he does the quests. You just won't get any experience and quest rewards for finishing them.

You can most definitely go to Ascalon, all you need to do is get to the Consulate docks mission in Nightfall. Once you've reached that mission, go to Deras Tenderlin in Kamadan and collect the quest Terror in Tyria. You can also collect the quest to go to Factions from another NPC near him. Go back to the Consulate Docks area and talk to Mhenlo. He will take you to Lion's Arch. From there you will need to backtrack to go to any area before the Shiverpeaks.

Any quests before Lion's Arch will not be available for your dervish since he isn't from that campaign. Same with factions, anything on the noob island excluding a few quests will not be available.
