Ursan question
When PUGS are looking for an ursan group, besides ursan, what skills are they looking for? I primarily use a ranger.

Since you can't really use a bow while Ursan, it's probably a good idea to go R/W for a Tactics shield and cheap adrenal attack skills for when something drains your Energy (Mist Vaettirs are really annoying that way). An Axe would probably be best for the cheap adrenal attacks. I prefer a combo of [[Dismember] and [[Keen Chop], for easy spammability, while you wait for your Energy to get to 10+ and UB to recharge. [Dismember][Keen Chop]["I Am The Strongest!"]["For Great Justice!"][Ursan Blessing][Call Of Protection][Comfort Animal][Charm Animal] [[Penetrating Blow] could be substituted for [[Keen Chop], if you prefer, while [["For Great Justice!"] can be replaced by [[Resurrection Signet] if the PUG absolutely demands it. The only point of the non-pet skills is to give you something to do when Ursan's down. For stats, only enough Tactics to use your shield and put both Beast Mastery & Axe Mastery as high as you can get them, with Beast Mastery being the priority (to maximize Call of Protection's effectiveness and your pet's damage and critical hit rate) if one can go higher than the other. So, basically, if you're outside of [[Ursan Blessing], just do [["I Am The Strongest!"] & [[Call of Protection] before you head into battle and activate Ursan. If Ursan runs out for some reason, start auto-attacking and [[Dismember] & [[Keen Chop]/[[Penetrating Blow] as needed, using [["For Great Justice!"] the instant you get 5 energy (since your energy will almost certainly regen to 10 long before Ursan becomes available again there's really no risk). |

Never gone group Ursan in Slavers', but I would have thought that [frozen soil] would still be useful.
Maybe?

Well, as my ranger, I bring running skills and R/A put 12 into dagger mastery, 12 into expertise, I bring this:
[skill]Ursan Blessing[/skill][skill]Dash[/skill][skill]Zojun's Haste[/skill][skill]"I am the Strongest!"[/skill][skill]Jagged Strike[/skill][skill]Wild Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Sunspear Rebirth Signet[/skill] Pain Inverter works well also. Be sure to use Totem of a Man right before you kill a boss so you can recharge your res. |

Dwarven stability + serpents quickness will give you a 33% damage boost from the fast recharge for a while. always bring a res.
for weapon sets, use a zealous 1 handed wep of defense with +5 energy, and a shield. and second set, a +15/-1 offhand for if there is a pause but you dont want to lose form. i often go r/p and bring a motivation shield and cast mending refrain on myself. the "ursan roar" can keep up mending refrain for a while, taking a little strain off of the monks. |

Do you think that a necromancer would get accepted for ursans?

That people like the OP actually ask this kind of question is an excellent demonstration of how the GW universe has... how can I put this diplomatically... um... changed.

I think we can all agree that ursan has..."ruined" the game. But it comes with tradeoffs.
It creates equality in ALL classes, so no one is discriminated. And it saves a LOT of time, so people can move on to other things, or enjoy a real life. |
