Expertise is not working...
My Ranger has 6 expertise, hes on the first little island in nightfall, level 7, no secondary yet, and his energy cost is not going down on any skills...why?

If you're using skills which cost around 5 energy, you're not going to notice the effects with 6 expertise. It will take it down to around 4 energy or so and the regen will be fast enough so you won't notice it.

try taking attributes outta other things then all in expertise and go into and explorable area. youll notice a difference in the energy cost
8-9 expertise will give you a moderate cost reduction. for a lvl 20 ranger, i never run less than 12 in expertise in most builds. 12-14 is optimal if you are going to be spamming interrupts or attack skills, depending on build. oh yeah and there is some chart on Guild wiki that tells you energy cost to expertise. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Expertise haha found it im sure your just not noticing... even for my 10 skills which should now cost 8, its not doing anything
ill take a picture and post it. EDIT: Did a totally different and random build, went back out and it was working, must have been just a small bug of some sorts, or else im crazy which i doubt. As Koeloe said earlier the skill descriptions don't update the energy costs on your skills to figure in expertise. So Apply Poison's cost will always read 15 energy, but your expertise will still bring it down.
Chances are you probably didn't notice or you're using skills that aren't affected by expertise. |

pretty simple really, 12 expertise will give you 48% reduction - i just look at a skill that takes 10 energy and when i have 5 energy i know i can use that skill again... etc.... 4% reduction per rank in expertise, it just is "hidden" so you don't see it on your skill bar buttons.
