Spening Balthazar Factions!
Hello =)
Im new to Guild Wars and been playing for 2 weeks, think im doing pretty good but have some nooby questions and this is one: If you spend Blathazar Factions is it erased from the maximum? Like if i have 8000 Factions and i spend 5000 on stuff does it still say 8,000/10,000 or since i spent it 3,000/10,000 O yah and how much does it cost for Elite Skills and are all elite skills available to buy? THANKS!!! |

Yes it gets reduced every time you buy something, the amount you have, and you can raise the total amount of balth faction you can have at one time through progressing through various PvP-based titles.
Regular skills cost 1k each, Elites cost 3k each and yes, all elites are available to buy. [If you have the correct campaign] More information here: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Balthazar_Faction Last edited by Kyomi Tachibana; Apr 25, 2008 at 06:34 AM // 06:34.. |

Non elite skills: 1,000 Balthazar Faction
Elite skills: 3,000 Balthazar Faction Items: 500-2,000 (someone check) Balthazar Faction You can only buy the skills corresponding to your campaign and core skills. For instance, you can unlock Dragon Slash if you have Factions, but you cannot unlock it if you only have Prophecies. But since you have Prophecies, you can unlock, say, Hundred Blades instead of Dragon Slash on Factions. Balthazar Faction will be deducted from your total Balthazar Faction points. However, if you put your mouse on the Balthazar Faction bar, you can view your maximum amount. Since you're new, I suggest you look up some builds on pvxwiki.com, use gw.gamewikis.org for reference, check out the Campfire for tips, and go to Gladiator Arena for some PvP tips. AND REMEMBER THE RULE: Never have these two skills together: Echo, Mending. |

"Echo mending" is a joke. Don't take any references to it seriously. For the record Mending is often considered a 'noob spell' (as it often used in low-level areas) that gains absolutely no benefit from being Echo'd (other than the waste of an Elite slot).
On the other hand I do advocate the use of Arcane Echoing Mending if your entering an area with multiple interrupts, especially Distracting Shot. That way if your original Mending gets interrupted then you can still cast the copy of it providing you echo it before battle Last edited by arual; Apr 25, 2008 at 08:39 AM // 08:39.. |

Okay thanks guys
I understand that there are no caps correct Like I could have 9000 then spend 9000 then gain 9000 more so the 10,000 balthazar limit means nothing CORRECT? So no cap? And is Balthazar the ONLY place to buy all elite skills if i have all 3 expansions or are there different places to buy elite skills in every expansion??? Thanks |

if you don't want to use balthazar faction to get the elite skills you could use a signet of capture. so you would find the boss that carries the elite skill that you want to cap then kill it and use your signet of capture and get the elite or you can use elite skill tome.

You can't buy elite skills from them, you unlock them for use on Heroes, PvP characters, and to get them through Elite Tomes.
But yes, each Priest of Balthazar in high level PvP areas [Battle Isles] have all skills to unlock. |

Also, you don't buy the skills, you unlock them. If it's unlocked, all PvP characters can use it, but your PvE characters cannot. For them, they must either go to a skill trainer (non-elite skills only) or use a tome (either non-elite or elite only, depending on tome). |
