Is my account linked to PlayNC? - Guild Wars Forums

Reading some of the threads about hacked accounts lately has me worried (especially since my spyware protection software has been complaining about some 3-way handshake coming from PlayNC whenever I open the game since Christmas - no idea what this means).

Since linking your account to PlayNC seems to be a related topic, I can't remember if I've linked my account. How do you check this?

Also, does anyone know what this 3-way handshake is? Should I be concerned? Does't look like my spyware software is blocking it.

Just means you have made a TCP connection which is normal. If you've used the store online you are linked with PlayNC, if not most likely not.

I've never bought anything from the online store, but when I've logged into the game... I have clicked on the online store and browsed at the stuff that's there. Does that mean I'm linked to PlayNC?

If you created a PlayNC account when you did this then yes, its linked. But I wouldn't worry about that since its MUCH more likely the people getting hacked is due to using programs like GWDatBrowser, GW2x or using same email and password on a disreputable site.
