Thanks in advance |

Without doing all the dungeons, 4 hours average.

Hmm assuming you already have cash and items to rune and kit out you're heroes then i'd say about 12+ hours of non stop play if you get a friend to tag along with you. However if you don't rune or kit out your heroes and end up H&H'ing it then probably a lot longer.

4 hours? Maybe to fill the Hero's Handbook with an experienced group after the character's already beaten the expansion once. Otherwise it's a lot longer - which is a good thing. Complete waste to get run through it just to farm.

The missions alone, with all areas unlocked and connecting quests done, take 4 hours. (OK, maybe someone else can do it somewhat faster, but that's how long it took me this weekend to fill up the book).
However, you will also need to do the connecting quests and fight/run to quest areas and town outposts. Shortest I can think of: -starter quest to get to EotN areas -travel to the Eye outpost, travel to Gunnar's, travel from Gunnar's to Sifhalla (total 3 map travels) (Tracking the Nornbear, Curse of the Nornbear mission - 1 short mission) (Blood washed blood - 1 map travel, 1 short mission) -travel to Olafstead (total 1 map travel and a bit) (A gate too far - 1 mission) -travel to Vloxen excavations, travel to Gadd's encampment (total 3 map travels, counding the dungeon connecting travel) (Finding Gadd quest (needs some time, since it takes a while to clear out those dinosaurs)(Finding the bloodstone - 1 mission) Travel to Rata sum, looking up Renk on the way (2 map travels, with dinosaurs) (The elusive golemancer - 1 mission) (GOLEM - 1 short mission) Travel to Longeye's outpost (2 map travels from Gunnar's) (Against the Charr - 1 mission) Travel to Cathedral of Flames (1 map travel) (A warband of brothers - 1 mission) Preparatory quests for Assault on the stronghold (1 map travel) (Assault on the stronghold - 1 mission) Next, travel to Battledepths (1 map travel) (Heart of the Shiverpeaks - 1 dungeon) (Destruction depths - 1 dungeon) (A time for heroes - 5 minutes) In total, you will have to travel some 15 maps just to get to the areas. Runs may speed you up, but still... Last edited by Iuris; May 06, 2008 at 12:16 PM // 12:16.. |

your to cheap to send the whole 5-8k a Q9 is worth and if ur caster modding it u can find a Q13 for around 1-2k lol. If your that cheap then you have problems. and as for beating EotN. You can breeze thru all 3 games and this expansion in a few hours but why would u want to, you will miss all the little things that make the game fun. IMO just buy the sword and play thru EotN and enjoy it.

Yeah, spend a few measly platinum for the sword and play the game at a pace that allows you to enjoy and savor it.... otherwise you're wasting the money you spend to buy it (real life money that actually counts for something).

yeah i do enjoy playing the guild wars campaigns (exept factions that storyline was horrible) and the main reason i want to finish it is to get hardmode and see what all the fuss is all about with these dungeons and weapons ect. but yeah i love farming stuff, and i feel kinda incomplete when i see ' Great new necro farming - EotN requierd -.-" but yeah ill probly breeze through it but then do it again and do side quests titles ect. Also i love earning stuff for myself, i mean honestly do you remember your first perfect weapon drop? wasnt that one of the best things you've seen?

Took me about 2 weeks playing in a rather leisurely fashion, did all 3 of the main story branches.
