just found my original guild wars cd key - Guild Wars Forums

like the title says i just found my cd case to the original guild wars. i dont have the disk but i do have my cd key, is there any ways to re activate my acount and download the original game so i can play again? thx for any help

Yes, you can. You can download the client from the official website:

http://www.guildwars.com/support/downloadclient/

It will need some time downloading files when you first start it, but then you can create a new account with your key.

You dont even need the original CD keys.

All you need to enter into the client for the game to copletely download (will take a while as has been said) is the Email and the password you set before... If you cant remember them, you will have to go through Support and you will need the CD key to reactivate the account.

Your account is still saved with everything as it was 3 years ago including any characters and items you have in storage/on your characters.

If you cant remember your PW you set at the time, just contact GW support and ask them to send you the PW to your Email (that will take a while because they will require you to send them proof that you ar ein actual fact the propper owoner of the acount)

And no, you can not create a new account with the old key if it is already linked to an account already.

well i tried to find which e mail i used but it seems the only 2 i have ever used didn't work =/, and when i tried to make a new acount and use my old cd key it didn't register, talking to a playNC support guy but seems sketchy if im gonna be able to get my acount back :S

Get your account back from who? At any rate, you're going to have to take this up with NCSoft, nothing we can do.
