Ranger pets / Beast's Where ?
ok, i find it annoying, that my pet is still 2 level's below mine, i was told that they level with meaning at one stage they're same level, so now im thinking of switching to something, else Ive heard of beast which some start at 20 but im looking for one's which are around 10 ish, i looked on the creatures link, of gw guru, but only dangerous mobs , i also went to pvx wiki to look there but couldnt find anything about the tameble beasts in gw, so does anyone have a link or know of a link where i could to learn or view theses Gw beasts ?? ...... thank u

There's only one charmable level 20 that I know of, and that's the Black Moa Bird that you can get through a series of quests in the Kurzick area of Factions. There are a bunch of level 15s, but they get charmed quickly by other monsters.

no, you can't have a pet be higher in level than you, and it used to be that pets gain 5x your experience until they catch up to you, don't know what it is now. and they don't get exp from quests, even in explorable areas, just from kills.

The rate for pet xp is twice what players get. It is possible to have a pet of a higher level than you, but usually this is only because it starts that way. Don't fret over such trivial things; you both cap at lvl 20 anyway.

But, ya don't worry to much you will both reach level 20 soon and then it really won't matter anyway. Just be patient and you will have no problems. Last edited by kratimas; May 21, 2008 at 02:34 AM // 02:34.. |

oooo i like the sound of wolves and crocks for pets, thanks for all great info guys, been a really big help-,and future insight, on how to get a lv 15 b4 a mob / group charms it instead, been playing / toying with that idea, of sending a henchmen team to near group and grabbing a beast during the time, im just lv 11 soon 12, so been testing it out, i thin i can do it well , when the time comes
= D thank you all |

As far as I know, enemies start Charming their Pets as soon as you come in their range, so occupying them with your henchies might not work. Good luck though, maybe you can 'outcharm' them

If you have a few heroes, just go out and clear an area of mobs, set your flag, set heroes to "passive", disable hero skills except a hard res (rebirth keeps your health good and low), aggro your future pet and watch it kill you over and over until it levels all the way up and on track to "dire". Take off your armor and hold a vamp weapon and it will go faster. When the pet is levelled as high as it can go, charm it.
