My iPod Nano is charging... it's one of the newest ones, generation 3...

It's plugged into my computer and it's displaying a battery filling up with green over and over.

When will I know when it's done?

lol, this should either be on a different forum or in the off topic section.

also, as Alex said... read the manual, it will tell you every detail you need to know.

Tech forum would have been the place to go. It will tell you when it's done. More than likely the icon will change, I think (haven't used mine in forever).

Semi-relevant question: why do things seem to charge faster when plugged into the wall rather hooked into the comp sometimes?

more power from your wall socket then a usb port on your computer

Mostly, the lithium batteries in ipods take 4 hours at most to charge from empty to full.
