Quest to get skill Healing Breeze for Monk secondary
Hi, all.
I am playing the Prophecies campaign and have chosen Monk as a secondary profession on a character. I would like to get the skill 'Healing Breeze', but have not come across any quests that provide it as a reward (plenty of other skills, but not that one). So far, the only way I can come up with to do this is to go back, create a Monk primary, do the first Monk quest to unlock the skill, then go back to the other character and visit a skill trainer. Is that pretty much what I need to do, or is there a quest I'm missing? (I have been told I should beware of spending skill points unnecessarily when the same can be achieved through a quest. ) Thanks in advance for the help! |

if you have previously PVPd and gained 1000 balthazaar faction points you can go the balth temple or any PVP area and buy the skill with them points. after that it will be unlocked at any skill trainer in game but will still cost you gold.

Healing Breeze should be available from the skill trainer in Ascalon City.

Go to the skill trainer and use a skill point if you really want it. (Sir Bertran in Ascalon City)

You get Healing Breeze as a reward for the quest A Monks Test in pre-searing.

The only way to get that skill for a monk secondary is to buy it with a skill point at a trainer, or have it unlocked on your account and use a monk tome. |

It's available for free at the profession changer in the Great Temple.
After ascending, use him to cycle through all the professions. You'll learn a handful of new skills for each of them. |

In fact, you don't learn anything from your CURRENT secondary profession anyway. he's already a monk. |

Hold up. He is in Pre-searing. Yeah! I love Pre. Long live Pre. *rant*
So the only way in Pre-searing to get the Breeze is to be primary monk - shucks. So monk is not the best secondary. Ranger cause of the Healing spell T.U. It has a 3 second charge time but if you use it before attacking and then again once it is recharged you will get constant health regeneration but for a half a second. In answer to your question, by all means make a Monk and then choose a secondary. Elemental is best I think because you have the heal and can get good fire damage vrs the charr if you are thinking of making a perma-pre toon. My main toon I created as a monk/ranger. Ranger because I liked the pet and the ability to keep it alive to do damage and draw the agro. Prof has no hero's but good control of a pet can make all the difference. Just a thought. If you need help in pre with your monk killing charr or other things, look me up. |

Thank you all for the additional information.
October Jade... As the others have said, I am a bit of a way from ascending. It is good to know, though, that I can pick up lots of additional skills at that point. imnotyourmother... Unfortunately, the character I have as a Monk secondary had just left pre-Searing. I would like to create a perma-pre at some point (mostly because I like the areas; I'm not sure I'd have the patience to get to lvl 20 there), but for now want to go through the storyline. I did create a Monk primary in pre so the skill could be unlocked for my account. And my Monk secondary (who is Elemental primary, btw; being E/Mo is just so...tragic ) hasn't spent any skill points yet, so using one for this is probably not the worst thing I could do. |

WOOT. a monk! In PRE. Sweet. So if you need a hand and are not going for Legendary Survivor look me up in game. We can Kill stuff. I generally give away runes for other professions when I take them on runs to the Northlands. Helps them out and helps me out cause I get the free spots and they get the stuff for free. I also pickup and drop almost everything that is designated for me. The drops are unfair in pre. My toon is 2 dling sessions away from being lvl 17. I do not dl much as it is a waist of time but sometimes when I am out mowing the lawn or going somewhere with family I just let it go afk dling. In one of my other posts I wrote that I just got a sword that is 10-14 damage with +13% damage while enchanted. H.B. is an enchantment so I would be 13% more effective while doing runs with you. As it is I can keep myself going almost all of the time with the ranger skill T.U. and my pet is lvl 14 as I am trying to get it to Dire status. (pet does more damage) If you need stuff there in pre and you are staying there perma-pre like do not spend mucho dunaro on charr bags. I am sure that you can get them free on runs with me. I just drop them if I am with a partner. I can also show you how to get stinking rich in pre through farming. hunter's ale and selling them for 100 gold each. There is a way to get over 100 ales an hour (10K/hour). Trick is you need a partner and a high lvl war to take MAssive amounts of damage. WOOT I am that war. |
