Guild alliance vs game alliance
My question revolves around one fact: the guild I am in seems to be aligned with the Kurzicks. Okay, cool beans. But in-game I am about to have to decide whether to align myself with the Kurzicks or the Luxons.
How does my decision after Sunjiang District mission affect the guild, help or hurt? Does it? Are either affected by my in-game decision? Shane |

Well later on you have to do a quest were you have to give 10k of faction (luxon or kurzick) so if you are kurzick then it may be easier to go kurzicks although tbh i find the luxon side much easier, to get luxon faction you will either have to do luxon repeatable quests or become guested into a luxon guild and Ab with them.

You can go either way you want. or both eventually. My guild is luxon, but i have gone over to the kurzick side and taken care of business over there too. The only thing to note is if you trade is faction you yourself accumulate on one side, you will lose faction from the other.

it dosent matter either which way in the big picture. IT just helps to be alligned with your aliance's side, cause you need 10000 faction for a quest.

Your decision won't affect the guild at all. You can go either way (and actually a lot of players do both sides.) If you are aligned Kurzick then you start down that path and any luxon merchants/priests/NPCs you encounter won't give you the time of day (or lockpicks).
Your alignment depends only on which side you have more faction for in your hero panel and you can switch sides at will. If you choose Kurzick and decide later you'd like to play Fort Aspenwood on the Luxon side, you can. You'll build up Luxon faction and lose Kurzick faction as you spend your Luxon faction. |

Thanks all for the tips. I gather then that a guild's alliance matters at a point, but for right now the side I choose is irrelevant, because I can take the other path later anyway?
Heck, who even knows if I will stay in the guild... I am so confused, I have cancelled myself OUT! I'll flip a coin then. Thanks again all! |

Figure on doing both sides eventually, especially if you are going after certain titles (skill hunter, vanquishing, protector, guardian).
