http://www.guildwars.com/products/ey...th/default.php Eotn is an expansion and again you need to go to LA to get the quest. Don't bother with the Core Pack unless you want to PvP. You'll eventually have them all unlocked just from playing the game or using the "skill trainer" in your guild hall. There's only one expansion and that's Eotn. You need to have at least one other chapter to play it. Factions and Nightfall are stand alones and need nothing else. If you still want to buy it then when you do the skills will automatically unlocked for your account, but you're going to have to buy them for each character you want to have them. |

A little more useful info on the Bonus Mission Pack that also has a pair of links at the bottom giving overviews of each mission and the weapons you can select from upon their completion.
As for getting to Eye of the North content in Prophecies, once you've added on the EotN product key to your account, go to Lion's Arch with at least a level 10 character and talk to Len Caldoron who is near the fountain. Smile Like Umean It is right, you won't need the Core Skill Unlock Pack unless you wanna do a lot of PvP. What it does is unlock all the core profession skills for use with PvP characters. |

The Skill Packs are simply all of the non-elite skills in the game. You can obtain any and all of these skills through PvE play from skill trainers. Of course, this assumes that your character(s) will have all professions available to them and purchase every skill. As I understand it, this would be somewhere in the area of 1200 skills not including EoTN or the BMP. You may also obtain these skills from the Priests of Balthazar using Balthazar Faction points (earned via PvP and Zaishen challenges). For PvE only players, purchasing the Skill Packs can make things easier because you have quicker access to skills for your heros and your characters (via tomes). However it is not necessary. For PvP players access to the widest range of skills possible can be critical - you'll never know what an opponent will bring. Having said all the above about Skill Packs in general, the Core Skill Pack includes skills that are already a part of any of the other packs; buying it and any other pack would be a waste of your funds. |
